BIJAPUR: The Youth Congress on Wednesday protested against the “misdeeds” of the Janata Dal (Secular) and BJP coalition regime in the State. Activists led by district unit head Jyothiram Pawar held a protest in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office after taking out a procession in the city. Mr. Pawar charged that there had been rampant corruption in almost all departments, and common people were not able to get the benefit of schemes meant for them without bribing the government staff. He said even after one and half years the Government had failed to set right the anomalies in distribution of ration cards. Most of the Centre assisted schemes including Sampoorna Gramin Rozgar Yojana had come a cropper, he added. State Youth Congress observer R.H. Kumar; district unit secretary Praveen Bodke and city unit head S.Y. Yakkundi took part in the protest . — Staff Correspondent
