HYDERABAD: The Endowments Department has drawn up plans to undertake mass recruitment of ‘bajabhajantris’ (traditional music players) for temples in the State.
1,200 such music players are to be recruited for those temples coming under the purview of the regional joint endowments commissioners and deputy commissioners.
Endowments Commissioner P. Sundar Kumar told The Hindu that the ‘bajabhajantris’ would be recruited with an annual commitment of Rs. 60 lakhs. “A certificate in playing instrument specified is mentioned as eligibility. ” he said.
