Australian ship arrives

Royal Australian Naval Ship HMAS Adelaide arrived in the city on Wednesday on a four-day `routine’ visit. The first in six identical ships in the Royal Australian Navy, it is a guided missile frigate equipped with a number of sensors along with anti-aircraft, anti-ship missiles, and torpedoes enabling her to counter threats from the air, surface and underwater. The ship can carry two Sea Hawk helicopters, according to a release.
