Karachi: The Pakistan Hockey Federation has not ruled out a full-scale inquiry into the debacle of the national team at the recent Asia Cup tournament in Chennai.
Pakistan was defeated by lower-ranked Japan and China and was held to a draw in a crucial game against Malaysia to finish sixth in the 11-nation tournament ahead of minnows like Bangladesh, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand and Sri Lanka.
“When the team returns home tonight we will have a detailed discussion with the manager and coach to find out exactly what went wrong in this tournament,” PHF Secretary Khalid Mehmood said — PTI
