CHENNAI: City completed a three-wicket win over Combined Districts on the final day of the under-22 cricket match at the MAC Stadium here on Wednesday.
Chasing 199 for victory, City won in 46 overs, losing seven wickets. A plucky 51 by N. Einstein (56b, 7x4), a useful 48 by L. Suryapprakash and an unbeaten 26 by Gowjit Subash were the highlights.
Earlier, Districts, resuming at its overnight score of 57 for two, was bowled out for 165. Medium-pacer J. Kaushik (four for 33) and off-spinners Malolan Rangarajan (three for 35) and M. Prabhu (three for 35) shared the wickets.
