Bowlers steal the show

VISAKHAPATNAM: Bowlers were in the limelight on Wednesday in the ACA North Zone inter-district seniors tournament at Kakinada.

While N.J.S.R. Prasad of Visakhapatnam had a five-wicket haul against Srikakulam, East Godavari’s Harikishen and Khadar Khan dismissed Vizianagaram for a low score on the first day of the match.

The scores:

Srikakulam 95 in 34.2 overs (N.J.S.R. Prasad five for 20) vs Visakhapatnam 70 for four in 25 overs.

Vizianagaram 55 in 24.2 overs (Khadar Khan four for eight runs, M. Harikishen four for 29) vs East Godavari 184 for six in 58 overs (M. Krishna Murthy 84, K. Naga Gangadhar 63). — Special Correspondent
