Learning skills: The NIE programme at Al-Falah English High School, Kaipuram. Vasantha Madavan, principal, Al-Falah English High School, Kaipuram in Palakkad district, inaugurated the Newspaper in Education (NIE) programme of The Hindu at the school on September 6. Ms. Madavan pointed out the aims and objectives of the NIE programme in her inaugural speech. Manager of the School, P. Dawood, expressed his appreciation of the NIE programme. Aneeth Babu, coordinator, extended the vote of thanks. The NIE programme aims at boosting children’s skill in reading, writing, listening, and speaking, besides enhancing their proficiency in mathematics, sciences and social studies.
