Woman dies

MALUR (KOLAR DIST): A woman, identified as Prema (20), died in a private hospital at Kolar. She reportedly succumbed to mental and physical torture by her husband and in-laws. Hailing from a village near Denkanakote in Tamil Nadu, Prema was married to Ramachandra of Chennigarayapur villagein the taluk a year ago. According to a complaint lodged by parents of the deceased, Prema was subjected to physical and mental harassment. The pregnant Prema was admitted to Devaraj Urs Medical College Hospital at Kolar where she breathed her last. — Staff Correspondent
