KOTTAYAM: Curtains came down on the two-day 13th Kottayam Regional CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) Schools Youth Festival, organised by the CBSE Schools Managements Association, on Thursday evening.

Labour India Public School was leading in the overall tally with 231 points when final results of 70 events were declared.

In the second position was Matha Senior Secondary School, Thumpoli, with 136 points. Others in the top position are Thapovan Public School, Adoor, and Excelsior S.S. School, Kottayam, with 70 points each.

Labour India Public School also led in categories V and II with 225 and 48 points, respectively.

Thapovan Public School, Adoor, took the second position in category V with 92 points, while Matha S.S. School, Thumpoli, came second in category II.

The following is the list of top position holders in various events.

Category V: Mappilapattu: Winnie Sara Simon, Thapovan Public School, Manacaud; cartoon: Jacob Zacharia, Thapovan Public School, Adoor; light music: Rahul K. Kumar, Labour India Public School, Marangattupilli; essay (English) Arjun Tom Kadavil, Labour India Public School, Marangattupilli; oil painting: Ann Mathew, Matha S.S. School, Thumpoli; poetry (Malayalam): Arun Johns, Labour India Public School, Marangattupilli; short story (Hindi): Dhruvajyothi Munshi, Labour India Public School, Marangattupilly; short story (Malayalam): Indu Priya, Excelsior Public School, Kottayam; water colour: Jacob Zacharia, Thapovan Public School, Adoor; poetry (English): Josey Tom, Matha S.S.
