Congress leaders welcome Ordinance

NEW DELHI: Senior Congress leaders on Thursday welcomed the Government’s decision to bring in an Ordinance for preventing sealing of commercial activities in rural areas and unauthorised colonies.

Outer Delhi MP Sajjan Kumar said: “This will bring great relief to the lakhs of people residing in these colonies. The Congress’ intentions have always been to safeguard the interests of farmers and residents of rural areas. The party has always worked for the benefit of economically weaker sections of society.”
