Four LeT militants arrested in Kashmir
SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir police on Thursday arrested four Lashkar-e-Taiba militants, who were involved in grenade attacks on tourists in Pulwama district in July and August. In these incidents, a woman and two children were killed and 11 injured, a police spokesman said.
The militants were identified as Tariq Ahmad, Parvaiz Ahmad Lone, Liaqat-ul-Islam and Ummar Wani, all residents of Awantipora. The outfit had directed them to establish a module in Srinagar to carry out attacks. Three hand grenades were recovered from them, he said, adding all of them were working under the then “district commander” of LeT. — PTI
