10 lynched in Bihar
K. Balchand
PATNA: In an act of unparalleled brutality, 10 suspected thieves were lynched at Delhpurwa village in Vaishali district of Bihar on Thursday. One person sustained serious injuries.
About 3 a.m., an alarm was sounded in the village that some burglars were on the rampage. Soon 11 persons were captured, and a macabre dance of death followed.
For almost two hours, the villagers beat the suspects. The police remained unaware of the horrific incident, though the Rajapakar police station is just about a kilometre away.
They arrived only to scrutinise the bloody scene and send the injured person to hospital.
