Insult to Hindus: Advani
Special Correspondent
NEW DELHI: Leader of the Opposition L.K. Advani said here on Thursday that the Centre’s affidavit on the Ramar Sethu in the Supreme Court was “an insult to Hindus, it had poured contempt on them…”
Addressing a press conference, he described the government’s mentality as a good example of “pseudo secularism,” saying while “India had rejected theocracy, a secular state is not an irreligious state.” The problem, according to him, lay in our definition of the word secular.
Since in the Congress, decision-making was ‘concentrated’ in the hands of its president Sonia Gandhi, she was behind the government stand in court and must be personally held responsible, he said.
