Chemical firm denies charge

HYDERABAD: Arch Pharmalabs Limited, the chemical company recently issued closure notices by the Pollution Control Board, has rejected the allegations that the two tankers caught dumping effluents at the Chimnapur Tanda of Kandi village in Ranga Reddy district are theirs.

“We would like to place on record that Arch Pharmalabs has been wrongly named in this episode and we shall submit this matter to the PCB for further clarification,” a press release issued by the company said.The press release claimed that the company had a full-fledged effluent treatment system operational for several years.
