Two child workers rescued

KANCHEEPURAM: Two child workers were rescued during a joint inspection drive conducted by the Labour Department in hotels in Kancheepuram and Chengalpattu on Thursday.

Two teams of officials conducted surprise inspections at 46 hotels and rescued Shanmugham (13), engaged by an eatery owner at Kancheepuram bus stand and Manikandan (15) at a restaurant in Chengalpattu.
