Bypoll results announced

KOCHI: The results of the by-elections to local bodies held in four wards in Ernakulam district were announced on Thursday. K.S. Babu and Rajalakshmi, Independent candidates, won the elections held at Muppathadam central coming under Kadungalloor grama panchayat and Pizhalapaliyamthuruth falling under Kadamakuddy, respectively. The Congress candidates K.G. Rajesh and M.V. Yacob won the seats of Chittoor North in Cheranalloor and Neryamangalam South in Kavalangad, respectively. — Staff Reporter
