NEW DELHI: A 45-year-old constable allegedly hanged himself at his Karawal Nagar residence here on Thursday. The police suspect that marital discord led him to take the extreme step.
Constable Bhure Singh, who was posted with IVth Battalion of the Delhi Armed Police, was found hanging from the ceiling around 6-15 a.m. He used to live on the ground floor of the building, while his wife and children lived on the first floor.
The police found Bhure’s personal diary in which he, in 2004, wrote that he loved his wife but she did not trust him. It is learnt that his wife had lodged a complaint against him with the Crime Against Women Cell alleging that he had not been giving her money for her personal expenses.
