Seven arrested, firearm seized

NEW DELHI: Seven persons allegedly planning to commit robberies have been arrested in different parts of the Capital. The police claim to have seized a country-made firearm from one of them.

Four of the accused -- Mahboob, Mahender, Bhurwa and Munawar -- were arrested by the Operations Cell of the North Delhi police inside Roshanara Club Park on Wednesday. During interrogation, they purportedly disclosed that they were planning to commit a robbery at Gulabi Bagh. In another case, Parvez Khan, Rajesh and Santosh Singh were arrested at Kalkaji on Monday night.
