Hindi fortnight celebrations conducted by Eastern Naval Command concluded at Naval Auditorium, Samudrika, on Friday. Rear Admiral Anurag G. Thapliyal, Chief of Staff Head quarters ENC and professor in the (A.U.) department of Hindi, S.M. Iqbal spoke about the importance of the implementation of Official language Hindi. Rear Admiral Thapliyal released the 13th edition of ‘Poorvi Vani’ the Hindi Magazine of Eastern Naval Command. At the Bureau of Indian Standards Scientist-E B.K. Murthy asked employees to increase the usage of Hindi in day-to-day official work. Rita Devi of Hindi teaching scheme, Nodal Officer (Hindi) G.S.B. Prasanna Rao and Scientist-C B. Sandhya participated. Cash awards presentedManaging director of Bharat Heavy Plate and Vessels Ltd. (BHPV) Om Prakash gave away the cash awards to the employees who were merit holders in Hindi exam and prizes to the winners in various competitions in connection with the Hindi Day. He said that the usage of Hindi as National Language should be a routine affair. Professor of Hindi from Andhra University K. Leelavathi, BHPV’s DGM (HR) DVS Murthy, CVO A. Gnanasekaran, Hindi Officer S.A. Rasheed attended.
