Zee Telugu has a new CEO out of the box

Sanjay Reddy

Ending months of confusion as to who will head Zee Telugu, the management has finally designated Sanjay Reddy as the new CEO. The channel has been awaiting a new Business Head after Ajay Kumar had resigned and left for Bangalore following which it was managed more by provisional arrangements awaiting a full-time chief.

Sanjay Reddy who has experience with various media houses such as Walt Disney Company (India), was heading Pearl Media when Zee Telugu roped in his services. Given his exposure to media and entertainment industry , the channel now pins its hopes on the new CEO to climb the popularity charts.

With Gemini, ETV and Maa ahead, Zee Telugu continues its quest to stir the right recipe for success. Though few concepts from its stables did click and offered an opportunity to find a footing, top of charts still appears to be far. Will Sanjay Reddy be able to push it ahead?

TV5 & Asianet

While feedback on now-on-air NTV is awaited, TV5 is busy preparing to launch the channel. Similar is the talk on Asianet’s Telugu channel. Though initial impressions suggested that it might start around Dasara time, it is now thought to start by the year-end or Sankranti next year.
