Alleged suicide by businessman

NEW DELHI: The body of a 40-year-old businessman was found hanging from a tree at New Usmanpur here on Sunday. The police suspect it to be a case of suicide.

The body was discovered by a passer-by around 10-30 a.m. The police found a telephone diary from the deceased’s pocket and on enquiry from his acquaintances learnt that he was Tarbeep, a resident of Maujpur. He was earlier into the business of sugar.

Tarbeep’s family told the police that he left the house around 3 p.m. on Saturday but never returned. The police suspect that he committed suicide because of a financial crisis.
