Awareness meet on Army recruitment

Staff Reporter

VIJAYAWADA: Krishna District Youth Welfare Officer S.V.D.S. Ramakrishna recently said that joining the Army would make youth achieve two things – they can serve the nation and have a secure job. Addressing an awareness meeting on Army recruitment conducted at SRR&CVR Government College for the benefit of its students, Mr. Ramakrishna said that many students failed to get through the tests conducted by the Army only due to lack of awareness.

“Physical fitness alone is not sufficient to get a job. Personal hygiene is important too,” he said.

He advised students to undergo a month-long training before participating in programme.

Assistant Army Recruiting Officer of the Branch Recruitment Office in Guntur Arup Kumar Gon said that the next round would be held in Anantapur this month-end.
