Stones thrown at procession

DINDIGUL: Stones and footwear were allegedly thrown at a procession carrying an idol of Vinayaka, triggering tension and unrest at Paraipatti near Begampur here on Sunday evening. Devotees and local people picketed the main road leading to Batlagundu bypass condemning the attack on idol and attempt to disrupt the procession. One person was seriously injured.
