Kozhikode
KOZHIKODE: A new regional office of Union Bank of India (UBI) opened in Kozhikode on Monday. It was inaugurated by UBI chairman M.V. Nair. This is the third regional office of the bank in the State. The opening of the office is expected to give a fillip to the bank’s expansion and business in the region, Mr. Nair said. He said the bank had applied for licence to open 18 new branches in the State. Of these, nine branches would be under the jurisdiction of the regional office.
