Taxpayers won’t be burdened

ERODE: The move to upgrade Erode Special Grade Municipality into a Corporation would generate more developmental works, said officials in the municipal department.

But people feel that if Erode is upgraded, the Corporation will revise property tax. However, the officials said there would be no burden on taxpayers.

Municipal officials said the jurisdiction area would increase to 120 sq. km.
