This Day That Age
Three eminent British legal experts will form part of the Indian delegation to the International Court of Justice at The Hague in the dispute over Goa, it was disclosed on September 16. The experts include Sir Frank Soskice, Labour Party MP and former Attorney-General, Mr. C.H. Waldoci, Professor of International Law at Oxford University, and Mr. J.E. Le Quesne, an advocate who specialises in International Law. All three are to arrive at The Hague on September 18, where they will be joined by the Indian Attorney-General, Mr. M.C. Setalvad, and the eminent Swiss lawyer, Prof. Guggnheim. The dispute concerns Portugal’s claim for access through Indian territory to the enclaves of Nagar Haveli and Dadra.
