NIE programme launched
The Hindu-Newspaper in Education (NIE) programme was launched at Markaz English Medium Senior Secondary School, Karanthur, near Kozhikode last week. Principal K.M. Abdul Khader launched the programme. He said the NIE programme would make the students more aware of the competitive areas and help them face the challenges.
The NIE team will engage classes for students of Classes VII, VIII and IX on selected modules. Muhammad, coordinator, NIE programme at the school, proposed the vote of thanks.
The programme initiative aims to increase children’s proficiency in reading, writing, listening, speaking, mathematics, sciences and social studies.
Modules have been designed to suit the co-curricular needs of the students. The programme is aimed at the overall development of the children.
