JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Parliamentary Secretary in charge of the Information and Public Relations Department, Bhawani Singh Rajawat, left here for New Delhi on Tuesday to attend the 26th conference of the State Information and Public Relations Ministers, which is scheduled to be held on Wednesday. Dasmunsi’s address
Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunsi will address the first session of the conference. The State Ministers will deliberate on the agenda in the second and third sessions. Discussion on CASAn official release here said that the participants would examine various aspects of the Broadcasting Services Regulation Bill and the role of State Governments in the CAS rollout. Other issuesOther subjects likely to be taken up for discussion at the conference are rationalisation of entertainment tax, making the community radio service popular among masses, appointment of district-level monitoring committees on transmission, and the proposed amendments to the Press and Registration of Books Act. The two-day conference is being organised at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.
