Drive launched to clear Nainital lakes

Nainital: In a bid to save its precocious eco-system, the administration of the lake city on Tuesday launched a drive to clean water bodies following reports of death of marine life. As part of the drive, the district administration inaugurated a special plant for providing fresh oxygen to the marine life in Naini lake.

Inspired by Ramaco Vincent, an Australian tourist, school children, citizens and stakeholders joined hands to remove garbage from the city and launched an awareness campaign to save the lake from deterioration.
