Four persons washed away in A.P. floods

GUNTUR: Four persons were washed away in flash floods in several rivulets in the Guntur district in A.P. on Monday . All the deaths occurred in Narsaraopet division, in which two others were washed away on Monday , taking the toll to six.

Heavy rain continued to lash the district from Tuesday leading to flooding of several areas in the municipal towns of the district with Bapatla being the worst-affected with three colonies getting submerged under two feet of water.

Two persons hailing from Guntur city were washed away at Peddireddypalem Vagu. K. Nagendra Amma, 30, of Gonepudi got washed away in Gonepudi Vagu.
