Mysore takes honours

Mysore: Mysore athletes bagged the top honours in the men’s and women’s sections with 93 and 82 points respectively in the district-level Dasara Sports 2007 held at the Chamundivihar stadium here on Tuesday.

M.R. Nandeesh of Mysore hogged the limelight in the men’s section with three gold medals in shot put, discus and javelin. In the women’s category, M.N. Nagalakshmi (100m and high jump gold) from H.D. Kote, G.L. Sunitha (800m and 1,500m gold) and Raksha (triple jump and long jump gold) from Mysore impressed with their performances.
