TIRUMALA: On the fourth day of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara on Tuesday, sacred garlands from the temple of goddess Andal of Srivilliputtur in Tamil Nadu reached Tirumala.
The garlands, which will be adorned to the main deity on Wednesday on the eve of the auspicious ‘Garuda Seva’, were received traditionally and were taken around the Mada streets in a grand procession before finally being handed over to the temple authorities.
Earlier in the morning, the processional deities of Lord Malayappa Swamy, along with his two divine consorts, were taken out in a procession. Thousands of devotees who had congregated on the steps around the Mada streets witnessed the celestial procession as it passed by.
