Motorised tricycles for students

CHENNAI: The Chennai Collectorate has invited applications from disabled students to avail themselves of motorised tricycles under a special scheme of the Department of Rehabilitation.

According to a press release, students above 18 years with the ability to use their hands well are eligible to apply. The annual income of the applicants should not exceed Rs. 30,000.

The individuals must possess an identification card declaring the nature of their disability.

The applications may be sent to the District Rehabilitation Centre, DMS Complex, Teynampet, Chennai, the press release added.
