KOCHI: A three-member high-level team has suggested enhancing the security of Kerala High Court. The team comprising Harisena Varma, Deputy Director, IB; Subesh Kumar, IG Security and Manoj Abraham, City Police Commissioner; conducted a security survey some time ago and filed a report with the State Government. The suggested measures include restricting entry of strangers to HC premises, compulsory ID cards for all, including advocates and restriction on parking in front of the building. The team requested the State Government to give additional 60 personnel to form a separate security wing for the High Court. Metal detectors, x-ray scanners at all doors, restricting cameras inside the complex and regular security drills too have been suggested. As part of enhancing security, a company of armed battalion had been posted at the High Court since last month, said Vinson M Paul, IG, Ernakulam range.
