Self-employment opportunites to 1.5 lakh rural youth
1,364 surgeries done under Arogya Sri in Mahabubnagar
MAHABUBNAGAR: Minister for Health & Family Welfare and district in-charge Minister Sambhani Chandrasekhar said that animal husbandry, along with agriculture would be developed rapidly in Mahabubnagar district. He inaugurated shepherds’ extension workers training programme here on Monday. Addressing on the occasion he said the State Government was providing self-employment opportunities to 1.5 lakh rural unemployed youth during current financial year. Rural Development Minister G. Chinna Reddy said that the Government was taking steps to produce 1 lakh liters of milk per day in the district in the coming year. District Collector V.Usharani said that under Rajiv Samavikasa Yojana, training is being imparted to 40 persons during current financial year through shepherded extension programme.
Mr. Chinna Reddy said that so for 1,364 patients of the district had undergone surgeries costing Rs. 7.52 crores under Arogya Sri. He requested the doctors and Arogya Mitras to give more publicity about Arogya Sri scheme.
