Coimbatore: Nine persons were admitted to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH) on Tuesday afternoon on complaints of vomiting and nausea owing to suspected food poisoning, after they took lunch in a hotel near CMCH on Tiruchi Road. It is learnt that the nine persons had come to meet a patient admitted to the hospital and had gone to the hotel nearby. It is also alleged that a lizard was found in the lentils served for their meal. Following complaints, the police have registered a case against the hotel staff on charges of negligence, endangering the safety of others.
