TAMBARAM: The Selaiyur police are searching for a 60-year-old former teacher, who is alleged to have sexually abused a nine-year-old girl at his house in Madambakkam near Tambaram.
The police said the girl attended tuition classes at the house of Ravi, the accused. On Sunday evening, the girl returned home crying and complained to her parents that the tuition master had sexually abused her. Following this, her father lodged a complaint with the Selaiyur police on Monday.
The tuition master is reported to have fled when he was confronted by angry parents of about 20 children attending tuitions at his house. Police have registered a case and are searching for Ravi.
