Special Correspondent
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Education Minister M.A. Baby has said that all the universities will be asked to observe reservation norms when conducting recruitment of staff.
Replying to the discussion on the University Laws (Amendment) Bill in the Assembly on Tuesday, the Education Minister said the university should observe the quota norms.
The government would look into any specific complaint on violation of the regulations, he said.
The House, later, adopted the Bill seeking to replace the Ordinance issued by the government to induct members nominated by the Kerala State Higher Education Council into the Syndicates of the University of Kerala, University of Calicut, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit and the Kannur University by 48 to 15 votes.
