GUNTUR: Keane Inc., a multinational IT company, selected 63 students of Vignan’s Engineering College in Guntur during a campus selection process in the last couple of days. The company that has a Pan American presence apart from having a wide client base in West Asia and several other countries conducted campus interviews at Vignan’s Engineering College, Vadlamudi, on Monday and Tuesday. Recent merger of Caritor & Keane had not only made Keane more versatile and competitive in the global market but had also set them on an expansion spree, the college press release said. Keane Inc. selected fresh engineering and MCA graduates providing good growth opportunities. The campus selections were attended by students of Vignan’s Engineering College, Vadlamudi; Vignan Institute of Technology & Science, Deshmukhi; Vignan Institute of Information Technology, Duvvada; Vignan P.G. Studies, Palkaluru. Keane offers employment opportunities to students of all the branches as it operates in almost all domains of engineering. Nine students from CSE, 7 from IT, 12 from ECE, 15 from EEE, 12 from Mechanical, 2 from Chemical and 6 MCA students were among the selected. Vignan Educational Institutions Group chairman L. Rathaiah, executive director Paturi Koteswara Rao and Guntur College principal V. Vasudeva Rao congratulated the successful students. At Hindu CollegeHindu College P.G. Centre student Nallamothu Usha Kumari was selected in the campus interviews conducted by Satyam Computers on September 11 and 12, the college release said. The interviews were conducted in the Lakki Reddy Balireddy Engineering College. The last date for admission to courses offered by the Government Music and Dance School, Guntur, was extended up to October 31 with a late fee of Rs.50, school principal T.V. Prasad said in a release.
