Phoolan’s kin cross-examined

NEW DELHI: Munni Devi, sister of bandit-turned-politician Phoolan Devi, on Wednesday said she was not sure about the identity of the assailant who fired at her sister on July 25, 2001, resulting in her death.

While recording her statement before Additional Sessions Judge V. K. Bansal, Munni Devi had earlier said it was prime accused Sher Singh Rana who had fired at Phoolan Devi.

However, during cross-examination on Wednesday she told the court that she was not in a position to identify the assailant.
