A favourite at exhibition

HOT: A labradorite ‘Shiva Lingam’ on display in the city on Wednesday.

MADURAI: Looking for the perfect lucky charm to ward off evil spirits? Or eyeing an exquisite rug to adorn your home? Or scouting for a flashy north Indian attire?

All these and more are available at ‘All Handicraft, Handlooms and Jewellery Exhibition’ organised by Poompuhar, a Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation enterprise.

The star attraction is a ‘Labradorite Shiva Lingam,’ a peacock green stone imported from Brazil and sculpted in Jaipur.

This stone brings good luck to its owner, says an organiser.

An array of ‘rudraksha’ garlands has also been displayed. Conches for puja and blowing are also on display.

Saris from Andhra Pradesh, terracotta pottery, Kashimiri attire, silk rugs, doormats made of wool, silk and cotton are on display.

Jewellery, precious and semi-precious stones are also available. The exhibition is on at Rotary Hall, Chinna Chokkikulam till September 30, including Sundays, between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.
