Jewellery stolen

Unidentified persons took away seven-and-half sovereigns of gold jewellery by cheating a woman here on Tuesday. Police said two unknown persons came to the house of Paulin at Melapudur claiming that they would polish gold jewellery. She gave them the gold jewellery. However, the duo escaped at the opportune time with the valuables. The Palakkarai police are investigating the case.
