PUDUKOTTAI: Interview to select members of women self-help groups in the age group of 18-35 to work in garment export units in Tirupur will be held at the office of Mahalir Thittam here on September 22. The candidates should bring certificates for proof of age.
The Tirupur unit has proposed to recruit women as tailors, cutters, ironers, checkers, packers and helpers. Free lodging facility will be provided. Salary will be paid as per the Industrial Disputes Act and the duration of working hours eight. Selected candidates need not provide any bond or money. Special crèche facility will be available. The women will be given 84 days of maternity leave. They will also get ESI and other facilities.
