Tamil films vying for top honours
Moviegoers can expect some fireworks at the box-office this Deepavali. Tamil film buffs in the city anxiously await the release of four films — actor Vikram’s much-hyped ‘Bhima,’ Ajith’s remake of the Rajnikanth’s super hit ‘Bhilla,’ Vijay’s ‘Azhakiya Thamizhmak
an’ and Surya’s ‘Vel.’
Bhima’s music scored by Harris Jayaraj has already topped the hit charts.
The grapevine has it that ‘Azhakiya Thamizhmakan’ was sold at a record price to the distributors.
Moviegoers are wondering whether Ajith would be able to recreate the success of Rajnikanth.
Vel will test the box-office guarantee of Surya after the runaway success of his film ‘Ghajini.’
