MALAPPURAM: The Wildlife Department will conduct a photography competition as part of the Wildlife Week celebrations this month. Forest and wildlife in Kerala will be the theme of the competition. The last date of entry will be September 25, said an official press note here on Thursday. Photographs submitted for the competition should be in 30x20 cm size. A contestant can give multiple entries. Contestants should submit the negative or CD of the original work along with the photographs. They also should specify technical details of the photograph such as the film used, its speed, aperture, and date, time and place of exposure. Photographers should also provide contact details. Entries should be in colour. The first three winners will get cash prizes of Rs.5,000, Rs.3,000, and Rs.1,000 and certificates respectively. Entries should be sent to the Chief Wildlife Warden, Wildlife Department, Forest Headquarters, Vazhuthakkad, Thiruvananthapuram, before September 25.
