Cinema hall inspected

PERAMBALUR: The District Collector, Anil Meshram, conducted a surprise inspection of a cinema hall on Athur Road here on Thursday.

The Collector found that the cinema-owner failed to ensure proper maintenance of toilets. Also, the number of fire-extinguishers were inadequate to meet emergency situation. The tickets were over-priced. He ordered the authorities to impose a fine on the cinema-owner.

The Collector visited the sub-jail here and assessed the quality of food being supplied to prisoners. In a brief interaction with them, he ascertained the basic facilities available.
