42,957 new pensions sanctioned

VIZIANAGARAM: Pensions to 42,957 newly identified persons were sanctioned during the second phase of Indiramma programme. Of them 22,708 were senior citizens, 14,633 widows, 447 weavers and 5,169 physically challenged. The beneficiaries identified were from 330 villages and the four municipalities-- Vizianagaram 3,676 , Salur 1,325, Bobbili 1,209 and Parvathuram 576.

They would receive pensions from October 1, according to DRDA Project Director Vasudeva Rao. Corresondent
