MASS ATTENDANCE: Women attending the Indiramma Sambaralu meeting at Uravakonda in Anantapur on Thursday. ANANTAPUR: Minister for Agriculture N. Raghuveera Reddy has said that the Indiramma scheme has been a catalyst in making the villages achieve rapid progress in all spheres. Aim of the Government was to bring happiness in every house through the scheme, he claimed. Speaking after launching ‘Indiramma Sambaraulu’ at Uravakonda in the district on Thursday he explained that the programme was taken up in the mandal headquarters to issue sanction letters of houses, pensions and house sites to the beneficiaries of the second phase of Indiramma villages and creating awareness on construction of houses among the beneficiaries. Sanctions distributedThe Minister distributed house sanction letters to 2,011 beneficiaries and pension sanction letter to 1,039 beneficiaries of seven villages in the mandal. The Indiramma Sambaralu programme would be held till September 29, he said. He reeled out all the welfare and development schemes being implemented by the State Government. He instructed the officials and asked the beneficiaries to complete the houses sanctioned under the first phase so that community house warming ceremonies could be taken up from October 2. Similarly, the houses sanctioned in the second phase should be ready by next Ugadi for occupation. Anantapur MP A. Venkatarami Reddy, Uravakonda legislator P. Keshav, Congress Whip in Legislative Council Y. Sivarami Reddy and others also participated. Later, the Minister attended the same programme at Vidapanakal.
