Staff Reporter
BANGALORE: The Ulsoor Gate police have solved 15 cases of burglary and recovered one kg gold jewellery, eight kg silver articles, electronic gadgets and two motorcycles, all estimated Rs. 13 lakh, besides Rs. 4.15 lakh in cash.
Commissioner of Police Neelam Achuta Rao told presspersons on Wednesday that Manjunath alias Parivala Manja (25) of Vinayakanagar in Wilson Garden had burgled 13 houses in Ulsoor Gate and two in Chickpet police station limits.
The police arrested Manjunath’s two accomplices also. After identifying a house for burglary, Manjunath used to fly pigeons near it and on the pretext of catching the birds, he used to get into the property, break open the locks and loot the houses.
If the residents of the area questioned him, Manjunath used to tell them that he was looking for his pigeons.
