PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry unit of the All India Youth Federation (AIYF) on Thursday accused the Government of not taking any step to provide dole to the unemployed youth in the Union Territory. In a statement here, AIYF unit secretary G.Selvam said though the Government announced that it would implement a scheme to provide assistance to unemployed youth, they were unable to avail themselves of the benefit, owing to non-issuance of required certificates by Revenue Department. The AIYF activists would go to the streets with begging bowls on September 28, as a mark of protest against the Government’s approach to unemployment problem, he said.
